I think about you everyday papa. We miss u so much..... things are honestly not the same without you. At all. I wish I gave u a hug instead of passing by your room. I'll regret that the rest of my life.

Tom and I shared many of the same musical tastes back in high school, including jazz/funk/soul artists and groups like the Brothers Johnson, Rufus, Weather Report, Tower of Power, Grover Washington Jr., Ronnie Laws, and George Duke. I played guitar in the high school jazz band, and Tom was an avid supporter. He was always upbeat -- I can close my eyes and see him with that big Cheshire Cat grin, asking "What's happenin' Tommy?" It brings a smile.
He was one gentle, hip, soulful and beautiful cat. I'm sad to learn of his passing, and offer my sincere condolences.
