Yvonne Ryan
February 13, 1939 - June 25, 2022
Roseville, California - We are sad to announce the passing of Yvonne at age 83, after a long battle with cancer and Dementia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Tom, sons Kevin and Dennis, daughters Carolyn and Roselyn, grandchildren Rachel, Stephani, Donald and Jessica, great-granddaughter Bailee and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Yvonne was born in Cokedale, CO to parents Frank and Mary Corollo Frabizio. In 1946 the family moved to East Carbon, UT. At a church function the pastor introduced Yvonne to Tom, who was just home from the Korean War, and the rest is history. They were married on September 14, 1959, in Salt Lake City. Later they moved to Sacramento, CA, where Yvonne pursued a lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She graduated from American River College Nursing Program and then worked at UC Davis for 21 years. She was one of three nurses from the United States chosen to assist the facial surgical doctors in their trip to Russia to repair children with deformed cleft palates. After retirement Yvonne enjoyed many cruises, but her favorite trip was traveling to Italy to visit her parents’ heritage. She also enjoyed going to the March Madness games with Tom’s navy buddies. Yvonne was very active at St. Lawrence Church. She headed the Evening for the Engaged classes for 21 years; served on the school board of directors; and was the nurse that staffed the van that served breakfast to the homeless for seven years. She truly lived her life to the fullest. Memorial service will be at St. Lawrence Church, 4325 Don Julio Blvd, North Highlands, CA 95660 at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022. In celebration of Yvonne’s life a reception will be held immediately after the service. Location will be given at the service. We would like to give special thanks to A1 Healthcare for the superior Hospice care they provided. As well as Meme from Grace Referral in Home care Service. She provided the best care our family could have asked for.
