Born October 26, 1945 in Nausori, Fiji, to the late great Vella and Diwani, passed away June 19, 2018 in Sacramento, California.

 Beloved wife to the late Ram Chandra. Greatly missed by her children, Raveen, Parneil and Naleeni. She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Gabriella, Kayla, Ria and Maximus as well as her lovely daughter in laws Sandy and Raj. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Panjali, Shila, Kamla, Yashoda and Swatantra; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law and an immense amount of friends. She is now in heaven with her loving husband Ram, her brothers Bhiman and Krishna Kutty, as well as her sisters Lila, and Narayani and her beloved parents Vella and Diwani.

Tara affected everyone she encountered in a positive way, which made her incredibly memorable. She put a smile on everyone’s face. In addition to being an amazing mom and wife, she made sure to be as independent as possible. She taught for a few years in Fiji before she married and continued her studies later in life, which led her to become a nurse at Mercy General, she then retired and went on to work for Embassy Suites, Sacramento. She loved the finer things in life and enjoyed travelling, cooking and spending time with her family. She will be eternally missed and loved by all who knew her. Her children and grandchildren will forever carry on her legacy.

A viewing will be held on Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. All proceedings will be held at 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, California 95815 at the North Sacramento Funeral Home. 916-922-9668.
