Steven Alan Lacey was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming December 10th, 1953, and passed in Sacramento, California September 21st, 2021. He is survived by wife Shirley of 45 years, sons Charles (41) and Adam (38), and three older brothers Frederick, Richard, and Ronald. He was a grandfather to Austin (19), McKenzie (12) & Theodore (7 months), an Air Force Veteran, an entrepreneur, and a friend to many. In his youth he migrated from Cheyenne, WY to Sterling, CO then Fallbrook and Escondido, CA. Graduated Escondido High School in 1972 and joined the United States Air Force (USAF). While in the USAF he traveled to various places including Japan & Germany and married high school friend Shirley Covey. In the USAF he earned the USAF Good Conduct Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Longevity Service Award, Meritorious Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. After eight years (1980), the USAF Staff Sergeant shifted to Civil Service at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA. He settled there with his wife and started a family. While in Sacramento he enjoyed many things including a computer business (Applications Etc.) with son Adam, motorcycle rides, watching sports & auto racing, playing soccer, and during his final months spending time with his youngest grandson, Theodore. After 41 years in Sacramento, many friendships and business relationships have flourished. Many will miss his smile, personality, and electronics expertise. In his final days, he was at home surrounded by family and passed peacefully.
No funeral services will be held but a Celebration of Life may be arranged later.
