In Loving Memory of Selvi Naidu

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Selvi Naidu, a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, on April 11, 2025, in Sacramento, California. She was 49 years old and the beloved daughter of Amruthamma and Bhaktavatsalam Naidu.

Born in Bangalore, India, Selvi was a woman of grace, strength, and radiant warmth. She was a deeply devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising her three children — Vihas, Suhas, and Harshitha — and was fiercely proud of each of them. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she stood by them in every moment, celebrating their joys and holding them steady through challenges.

Selvi immigrated to the United States with her husband, Thirumala Naidu, where together they built a life grounded in hard work, resilience, and deep love. She was a devoted partner, always supporting her family as they found their way in the new world.

Selvi had a gift for bringing light into people’s lives. She was always there for others when they needed help — someone who listened with her whole heart, offered comfort without hesitation, and guided loved ones through their hardest moments. Her laugh was infectious, her smile unforgettable, and her presence brought happiness to everyone around her. She was full of life, energy, and joy.

She loved cricket, movies and TV shows. She also had a deep appreciation for the arts. A talented singer and dancer, Selvi found joy in music and movement, and her creativity touched every corner of her life. She was known for her elegance and love of fashion, always dressing with care and style — a reflection of the vibrant spirit within her.

Even in the face of overwhelming illness, Selvi remained brave and full of grace. She fought with everything she had, showing faith and strength that inspired everyone who witnessed it. She was, and will always be, the strongest woman we knew.

She will be honored through Hindu funeral rites, including a final viewing and cremation. As part of these sacred traditions, her family will lovingly dress her one last time and perform her final rites before her physical form leaves the Earth. Close friends and family will gather to speak about her life and celebrate the love, laughter, and legacy she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Selvi’s heart never left Bangalore — she gave freely to those in need, often offering help to poor people on the streets, at temples and around our farm. Giving to others was her quiet way of spreading love, and the family hopes to continue that spirit of compassion in her memory.

Selvi’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her — in every song, every smile, every kind word, and every life she touched.
