With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Savangsy, who left this world far too soon on May 20, 2025, at the age of 42. Richard bravely battled leukemia and liver failure, surrounded by the love & support of his family.

Born on June 10, 1982, Richard was known for his loyalty, humor, and deep love for his children. He was a proud father to Adryannah, Naudiah, and Izaiah his greatest joy and lasting legacy. As a true die hard 49ers fan, Richard never missed a game and could always be found repping his team with pride (even when they gave him a heart attack every Sunday).

To those who knew him, Richard was more than a fan he was a son, protective brother, loyal friend, a loving father, and a fighter until the very end. His strength, love, and laughter live on in his children and all the lives he touched.

“Thugs never die.” And in that spirit, we know he’s still with us just in another form, probably still talking smack and rooting for the Niners from above.”
