It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rampiyari Naidu, who departed peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Sacramento, California. She was 74 years old.

Known affectionately as "Baby" and "Piyari" to her loved ones, Rampiyari was born on June 13, 1951, to Mahadeo and Sukhdei in Qarawalu, Taveuni, Fiji. She later moved with her parents to Naqara, where she attended primary school and remained in her family home until her marriage to Satyanadan Naidu on March 19, 1970.

Rampiyari began her married life in Suva with her husband. Upholding the beautiful tradition of her homeland, she traveled back to Taveuni for the birth of her first three children to be with her parents. Her youngest child was the exception, born just before the family immigrated to the United States in 1984. Once in the USA, Rampiyari quickly acclimated, building a meaningful career in the medical field and co-owning the beloved family business, "Naidu’s Ice-cream."

A woman of deep devotion, Rampiyari's love language was expressed through her incredible cooking, which was among her favorite pastimes, along with gardening, shopping, and the occasional spirited game of chance. She was a devoted wife and mother whose generosity, elegance, and soft-spoken nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

Rampiyari was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Satyanadan (Moon), and her youngest brother, Hemant (Nadawa, Suva).

She will be deeply missed and eternally cherished by her four children: Sobna (Leena), Sushila (Julie), Adi Narayan (Tony), and Joyce. She was a loving, kind, and caring mother who consistently prioritized her children's needs above her own. She also leaves behind her legacy in six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close.

Rampiyari is survived by her brother, Ashok (Taveuni, Fiji), and her two sisters, Nirmala (Australia) and Manjula (Woodland, California).

She will always be remembered as a kind, elegant, and generous woman whose spirit and warmth enriched the lives around her. Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on through her family and all those blessed enough to have known her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the North Sacramento Funeral Home in Sacramento, California.
