It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ram Shakhi Pandey, who passed away on March 8th, 2025 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, surrounded by her sons, daughter in laws, and grandchildren. 

Born in Madhepura, Bihar, India, Ram Shakhi was the daughter of Nageshwar and Jamuna Roy. She was married to Ram Eakwal Pandey. They had 4 children, 3 boys and a daughter. The eldest son passed away at the age of one. She raised their 3 children while her husband came to the States to complete his higher education. He later brought their two sons to the US while the daughter married and remained back home. Several years later, her sons brought her to the US as well. They settled in Canoga Park, California. 

Ram Shakhi was a fighter for what she believed in. She loved her family unconditionally and would go to any lengths to protect them, to see them prosper. She was very religious and devoted to the happiness of her family. If anyone asked for help, she was there. She was passionate about cooking delicious Indian food. Anyone that visited her, she made sure they were well fed. Finally, she loved to travel and wear beautiful sarees. 

Ram Shakhi leaves behind her youngest brother, Babushahib Roy; her children, Vijaylaxmi, Rajib, and Radha; her grandchildren, Jaishree, Sanjiv, and Om; and her cherished great-grandchildren Dev, Avi, Smriti , and Yodha. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and a brother; and her granddaughter Dolly.

Ram Shakhi’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—through her kindness, her unconditional love, and the delicious food she made for them. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who shared her journey.
