Pany Phadoungxat

Pany Phadoungxat of Sacramento, CA has passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 83, with her loving family by her side. She has joined her husband, Xom, in heaven who has been patiently waiting for his better half for over 15 years.

Pany and Xom married in 1960 in Thailand and had seven children, Philavanh, Phongthep, Phuangmaly, Phongpaphat, Phouridiet, Phounthavy and Phayroth. In 1981, they moved to the U.S. and settled in Pittsburgh, CA. Shortly after, they moved to Fresno, CA, then to Redding, CA where they resided for seven years before finally settling in Sacramento since 1992.

Pany will be dearly missed by her family, including her many grandchildren (Kannika, Richard, Salavouth, Kounthida, Stephanie, Malina, Nathan, and Tiffany), who fondly remember summers spent with their grandma enjoying the best snacks, watching classic TV game shows such as The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune, and laughing at her one-liners.

Pany loved her family deeply and had the ability to understand each individual for who they are. Pany’s other great loves include reading in the sun, her two miniature schnauzers, Benji and Ashton, and the San Francisco Giants.

A celebration of Pany’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2pm, at 725 El Camino Ave., Sacramento, CA 95815.
