Mary Kate Grimaldi began working at the Tri-City Herald Livermore and found her way to the Modesto Bee in 1988 working in the Advertising Art Dept. She was later was promoted to Interactive Sales Manager and continued her career in marketing as an Account Management for Capital Public Radio, and Senior Living Care, Sacramento, finally retiring in 2024 from Brady IFS Modesto.
Most important to her life was her relationships with people, friends and customers. If there ever was a "people person" Mary Kate was it. Not afraid to tell it like it is, a fearless woman’s happy warrior. Mary Kate was a friend to everyone and was devoted to understanding the people around her. She sincerely cared about a person's well being, their families and always managed, somehow, crack a joke or two to make them laugh. She will be deeply missed by her husband Peter Grimaldi, her daughters, Kate Kepler and Kelly Delgado, their sons, Joseph Grimaldi and David Grimaldi, three grand children, Brooklyn Delgado, Brooks Grimaldi and Aria Grimaldi, their extended families and all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life, Memorial Dance Party will be held at the Eagles Hall, 126 Camellia Way, Modesto, California on Sunday, September 21, from 4pm-8pm. We ask that ongoing donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Association, American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
