Khursedi Begum, a beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2025 in Vacaville, California, at the age of 105.

Born on April 8th, 1920, in Suva, Fiji Islands, Khursedi lived a life defined by love, faith and resilience. She was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother who raised 11 children with unwavering care and strength. She dedicated her life to raising her family and nurturing those around her. As a homemaker, she poured love into everything she did—especially her cooking and sewing, which brought comfort and joy to generations. Her legacy lives on through the 11 children she raised, seven of whom survive her, along with 39 grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great great grandchildren who carry forward her warmth, resilience, and spirit.

Khursedi’s life was a testament to strength, devotion, and quiet grace. A devout Christian, her faith never faltered—even through life’s most difficult moments. She possessed a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her, and her presence was a source of peace and love. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her radiant smile was a constant source of light. Khursedi was the cornerstone of her family, a powerhouse of a woman whose legacy will on through generations.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
