Gerry Ramos Obituary

Beloved Gerry Anthony Ramos became our angel on July 14, 2022 in Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii.

Gerry was born on November 30, 1997 in Anaheim, California to Alma and Gerry Ramos. Gerry was the youngest of 4 children. He was our sweet baby boy and he loved his older sisters Micaela, Suzanne and Kimberly Ramos.

In the early 2000s, the Ramos family moved to Sacramento, CA and that is where Gerry spent most of his life. He graduated from Inderkum High School in 2016. While at Inderkum High School, he enjoyed playing in the percussion section of the Inderkum Symphonic Band with his sister Kimi. During his free time, he also enjoyed playing Europa and Somewhere Over The Rainbow on the ukulele. He then attended Sacramento City College where he enjoyed learning taekwondo.

Gerry spent a lot of time having fun with his family and friends. He enjoyed working out and going to the gym. He would beat dad at racket ball using his bare hand and dad would be mind blown because he had to use a racket.  He liked to go shooting guns with his friends, play card games, board games, video games, camping, playing sports, hiking, swimming, karaoke, play pool or darts, etc. One of his favorite songs to karaoke to was My Way by Frank Sinatra and he would always kill it! He loved music and was always playing music everywhere he went. He loved all kinds of genres that ranged from cumbias, corridos, rap, techno, r&b, hip hop, foreign language music, 80s, and more. The love he had for music reflected his character in the ability to connect with absolutely anyone and everyone. He also loved watching YouTube, movies, documentaries, music videos, tv shows, cartoons, and comedy stand ups. Gerry loved laughing and making others laugh. He was looking forward to finally seeing Fluffy in Hawaii this September.

Gerry began working right after high school and quickly became independent. He worked as a cook for many years and really enjoyed it. He loved cooking for others, specially for his family and friends. He would always give us discounts and hook it up!

No doubt, Gerry was fearless and he wouldn’t think twice about doing scary things such as bungee jumping at the state fair, jumping off of a three story building, ghost riding, jumping off high rocks into a huge wave in the ocean, and so much more.

Gerry’s latest job was at Chicken in a Barrel in Wahiawa, HI. He worked there for about a year and a half and his bosses and coworkers became a part of his family. He was always very sweet and friendly and so many people got to know him and grew to love him. His kindness, humor, and optimism touched so many hearts. Everyone he encountered recognized how humble of a person he was. He was the best listener, the peacemaker, and everyone’s best friend. Whenever his friends would ask him how he was doing, his response would be “happy to be alive!” Gerry truly appreciated life, he loved everyone around him, he gave nothing but positive vibes, and he lived his life to the fullest!

Gerry was an amazing person with a beautiful personality, a huge heart, and a pure soul. We will keep Gerry deep in our hearts forever.
