Dominga Corona “Sandy Rodriguez” was born in Santa Maria, California on September 10, 1948, to her parents Lawrence and Virginia Rodriguez.  Sandy was the middle of five siblings. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her brother Lawrence (Lourdes) and her sister Teresa ‘Terry’ Landeros (Arturo); she had two children, her son John Belous (preceded in death 1998) and her daughter Leticia Belous Esquivel; five grandchildren AnnMarie Reyes, Carlos Reyes Jr., Xavier Reyes, Diego Reyes and Isaac Esquivel; three great grandchildren Leilah Rodriguez, Lorenzo Reyes and Santana Reyes. On March 4, 1986 she married the love of her life Raymond Corona Sr. This union blended and blessed their family with a son Raymond Corona Jr. and a daughter DebraLynn Corona and grandchildren Alex, Lil Ray, Emiliano, Juliana, Janessa, Jordan and Juliette. She also loved her God-children, Ernie Aguilar Jr., Richard DaVeiga, Marlo Lozano and Renita Martinez.

Sandy grew up in Gardenland/Northgate area and graduated from Norte Del Rio in 1966. In high school she participated in the Girls’ Track Team, Prep Club, Senior Float and Homecoming Parade. She eventually worked for a law firm, the State of California, and the on to housekeeping for the last 15 years and was planning for her retirement from UC Davis Hospital as a Senior Custodian II. She loved her work family and was always quick to reach out, visit them and catch up. She was always there to help in any way she could, she always made sure her loved ones had what they needed.

Sandy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, compadres and dear friends. She mothered many co-workers, neighbors and friends who in turn called her Mama or Tia. She had a loving and generous heart, loved her oldies and loved to dance. She was the real deal, a true partner in crime, and will be deeply missed.
