Carrie San Felipe passed on September 28, 2020. She was born on July 9, 1943 in Chestnut, Louisiana to Geneva Collins and Warren Parker. She was baptized on June 6, 1960 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Tulare, CA where she grew up. She sang in the choir there. Carrie was a member of Tulare Union High School’s Class of 1961. She also attended classes at the College of Sequoias.
She loved her family dearly, especially the babies! Most in the family will claim that at one point, they were “her baby.” She liked to watch sports, especially her favorite teams - the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. She enjoyed bowling and a good game of Bid Whist where you may find her talking a little bit of “smack” while playing. She cherished her high school classmates and work family.
Carrie was most proud of her children, grandchildren and the work she completed while employed at Lockheed-Martin. She retired in 2004 after working there for almost 25 years.
Carrie is survived by her two sons, Scott (Cyndie Jackson) San Felipe and Gerry (Sonja Thompson) San Felipe; five grandchildren: Regina Oliver, Davante San Felipe, Jordan San Felipe, Ebony (Rafael) Argueta and Davonte Jackson; five great-grandchildren: Brandon Carswell, Jr., Mesziah Ramos, Davante San Felipe, jr., Daveon San Felipe and Dante San Felipe. She is also survived by three sisters: Leona Austin, Vella (Jerome) Byers and Johnella Walker and one brother, John Williams, jr.; a great aunt Baby Ruth Boswell, along with many nephews, nieces and other relatives. While living in Charlotte, NC she added Rachel (Horace) Grant, her “adopted daughter-sister” to her family, whom she loved dearly.
