Vicente G. Gutierrez Jr.

Vicente “JR” Gutierrez of Rio Linda passed away on July 11th, 2017.  He was born on July 23rd, 1964 to Regina Garcia Gutierrez & Vicente Gutierrez.  Vicente “JR” graduated from Rio Linda High School and worked for Twin Rivers/Rio Linda School District for 25 years.  He was known as the caring and loving custodian who always wore Oakland Raiders gear.  He is survived by his mother Regina Gutierrez, siblings: Margie Gutierrez Zapata, Joseph Gutierrez (Terri) & Susan Gutierrez, godchildren: Angela Hernandez (Felipe) & Joseph Gutierrez Jr., nieces and nephews: Anna Jung (David), Frances Zapata (James Azevedo), Joseph Zapata Jr. & Regina Gutierrez, step-niece Ashley Palmer (Charlie), step-nephew Earl Hawhee (Jen) and six great nieces & nephews.  All of the lives that Vicente “JR” touched are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, July 19th at 5:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm at North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1717 El Monte Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815 followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  All attendees are encouraged to wear Oakland Raiders gear because “JR” would love to see everyone sporting his team.
