Michael Lozano, age 68, of Sacramento passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Michael was born in San Francisco, CA to Isabel Bustos and Michael Lozano Sr. on June 16, 1950. He was the second born of three children and grew up playing in the streets of San Francisco with his sisters Rosalinda and Maria.
Michael was a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan and enjoyed watching each and every one of their games. His favorite hobby was watching Turner Classic movie marathons.
Although Michael never had children of his own, he helped raise his two nieces and nephew. He made sure to give them an eventful and happy childhood by playing dress up, taking them to the library and playing endless board games. As an older adult, he helped take care of his great nephew for years. Michael is responsible for many beautiful memories that his family members will forever carry with them.
Michael is survived by his two sisters: Rosalinda Lozano & Maria Isabel Nordmann, Brother-in-Law Gustavo Gonzalez, two nieces: Rosemary Ramirez & Angelica Soto, nephew Alexander Lozano, two great nieces and three great nephews.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, January18th at 6:30 P.M. at the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave., Sacramento. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 19th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1717 El Monte Avenue, Sacramento followed by a Committal Service at Camelia Memorial Lawn, 10221 Jackson Road, Sacramento.
