Marguerite Gutierrez-Zapata

Marguerite Gutierrez-Zapata 57, passed away June 1st, 2018. She was born January 9th, 1961 in Sacramento, California to her parents Vicente and Regina Gutierrez. Marguerite worked for the State of California for over 30 years. Her biggest joys involved spending quality time with her family, restoring furniture, and planning trips to Disneyland.

She is survived by her children Anna-Marie Jung (David), Frances Zapata (James), Angela Hernandez (Felipe), and Joseph Zapata Jr. (Sabrina); and grand-daughter Arianna.  Additionally survived by her mother Regina Gutierrez, sister Susan Gutierrez, brother Joseph Gutierrez Sr. (Teri), and nephew and niece Joseph Jr. and Regina Gutierrez. She was preceded in death by her father Vicente Gutierrez Sr. and brother Vicente Gutierrez Jr.

A memorial rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th, 2018 with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at North Sacramento Funeral Home located at 725 El Camino Avenue in Sacramento. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 15th, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 1717 El Monte Avenue, Sacramento. Inurnment shall immediately follow the memorial mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
