Welcome to the memorial page for

Jerry Ray Mullins

September 16, 1950 ~ July 31, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Jerry Ray Mullins passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday July 31, 2017 at the age of 66. Jerry was born in Stockton, CA to his parents Robert Mullins and Eris Flint. Jerry's family, including his three brothers: twin brother Gene, Randy, and Bruce Mullins, eventually settled on the coast in Montara, CA when Jerry was seven years old. Growing up, Jerry was always athletic, playing football, basketball and baseball.

Jerry graduated from Half Moon Bay high school in 1968. He was a standout high school athlete, including as a record-setting quarterback and one-half of the high scoring “Mullins to Mullins twin combo.”  In 1973, Jerry married Lynnette Giusti and had two children, Jason and Erin.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors his entire life, especially camping, fishing and golfing. He was an avid sportsman, both as an athlete on the field and links, and as a loyal fan of the Giants, Niners, and Warriors. He also enjoyed car shows and relaxing with his brothers.

Jerry moved to Texas for a short time where he remarried and became a loving stepfather to Lawson Terrell. He eventually moved back to the Bay Area, settling in the East Bay, and finally retired in 2012 to Rocklin, CA. In retirement, he immersed himself in his favorite pastimes: fishing, golfing, swimming, and attending car shows.

In 2013, Jerry was thrilled to be present at the birth of his first grandchild, Alessio, and was equally elated to welcome his second grandchild, Gisella, in 2015.  In his last few years, Jerry was most proud to be known as “grandpa” to Alessio and Gisella Matiasic, sharing pictures of them with all whom he encountered. He had hoped to one day share his love of the outdoors with them, taking them camping and teaching them how to fish.

Jerry dealt with a number of serious health ailments over the last couple of years. In his last few days in the hospital, he waged a spirited battle against these ailments, but ultimately passed away on July 31, 2017 in Roseville, CA surrounded by his children, son-in-law, brother, sister-in-law, and his ex-wife and friend.

Jerry leaves behind his son Jason Mullins, daughter Erin Matiasic, son-in-law Paul Matiasic, two grandchildren, Alessio and Gisella Matiasic, stepson Lawson Terrell,  brothers Randy and Bruce Mullins, sisters-in-law Dixie Mullins and Nancy Mullins,  nieces and nephew Katie, Rachel, Tina and James, in addition to many friends and loved ones. He will forever be missed by all who love him! He is now reunited with his beloved twin brother Gene and his loving parents Robert and Eris Mullins.

A Memorial Service Celebrating his Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Half Moon Bay Golf Links, 2 Miramontes Point Road, Half Moon Bay, with the reception following at the Tenth Tee located adjacent to the Mullins Bar & Grill.
