Jennifer Theresa Taubodo

Jennifer Theresa Taubodo, 46, of Sacramento, CA passed away May 28th, 2019. She was born in Sumter, South Carolina, the only daughter of Jack and Martha Gladysek. She spent many of her early years in Buffalo, New York and also spent part of her youth in Sacramento, California. She graduated from Center High School in 1991. She also attended American River College.  In the year 2000 she was married to Eric Taubodo at New Testament Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA. They have two children.

Jennifer was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and worked in their Rocklin, CA location since 2017. She was previously self-employed at Komaza Hair Care which she co-owned with her business partner and long-time friend (aka sister) Rene Maddox.  Jennifer was a passionate advocate for women diagnosed with breast cancer. She held meetings to advise women what to expect on their journey. She provided recommendations for resources and made herself available for whatever was needed.

Jennifer loved spending time with her immediate and extended family. She also enjoyed active endeavors which included hiking, kickboxing and hitting golf balls on the driving range. Jennifer loved to read fiction, non-fiction and spiritual genres. She was a strong proponent for social justice and equality. She had a passion for travel, especially to places that had beautiful beaches nearby. Some of her favorite destinations include Cayman Islands, The Bahamas and Florida.

She leaves behind her loving husband Eric; their two daughters Arianna and Elise; and her son-in-law Trevor. She is also survived by her parents Jack and Martha Gladysek, a brother Ian and his children Weston and Mckenna of Buffalo, NY. She also leaves her father and mother in-law, Ernest and Patricia Taubodo of Sacramento, CA. In addition she leaves a host of in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandparents Louis Fadel,Sr. Theresa Fadel., Max Gladysek and Millie Gladysek.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday June 7th 2019 at 10AM. Services will take place in the chapel of the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815.
