Evila Isidora Sandoval, age 90, died peacefully in her home, on June 21, 2018, after a brave battle with cancer. Throughout the weeks prior to her death, she was surrounded by her loved ones. Evila was born February 20, 1928 in Mogote, Colorado, the daughter of Juan Antonio Sandoval and Maria Isidora Sanchez Sandoval.
She truly valued family and her home was a warm and welcoming place for all to gather and share meals and stories. Evila inspired others with her positive attitude and infectious laughter. With her late husband, Cipriano, Evila raised seven children and helped to raise many others, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Evila had a strong work ethic and held various jobs in her youth including cook and hotel housekeeper. She retired after 24 years as an Almond Sorter with the Blue Diamond Almond Growers where she created life-long friendships. Evila enjoyed gardening, cooking for her loved ones, traveling, music, and especially dancing.
Evila was preceded in death by her son Duane, her husband Cipriano Sandoval and many other close relatives and friends. Evila is survived by her children, Linda Mammoliti (Frank), Michael Sandoval, Rebecca Sandoval, Roberta Sandoval-Wong (Steve), Tommy Sandoval (Lisa) and Anna Sandoval (Bernie). She also leaves behind four sisters, three brothers, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous other loved ones.
