Edna Mary Micheau Penny concluded her journey on the train of life on February 7, 2018, in Carmichael,
California. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 10, 1921, she was a devout Catholic who worked for most
of her life as a clerical nurse in St Louis. Locally, she attended St. Philomene Parish and was known for
her work for children especially with the Right to Life Campaign. She rocked babies at Mercy Perinatal
Recovery Network until her 90th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. Micheau
and Edna Lewis Micheau; her husband, Ralph A. Penny; three brothers, John J. Micheau, Claude Micheau and Phillip A.
Micheau; two children and their spouses, Edna Penny Wells and William G. Wells; and David J. Penny, Sr., and
Jacqueline W. Penny. She is survived by two sisters, Ottie Micheau Perkins of Hollywood, Florida, and Maryanne
Micheau Robinson of Florissant, Missouri; two children, Claude A. Penny of Dallas, Texas, and Margarett Penny Manson
of Carmichael, California; two grandsons, David J. Penny, Jr., of Wenatchee, Washington, and Christopher S. Penny of
Vallejo, California; two great-granddaughters, Jacqueline E. Penny and Annabelle C. Penny of Vallejo, California; and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment is planned for the summer at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery,
