Hereford, Burr P. (Buzz)
05/10/1947. - 09/20/2019
After a long struggle with COPD, Buzz passed away at his home with his family by his side on Sept 20, 2019. He was born on May 10, 1947, to Margie and Burr Hereford. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Dad, sister Sherry and brother Mike.
He is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Brooke, granddaughter Nova Lee, sister’s Carolyn, Patti and Cindy, stepdaughters Katrina and Kris and many nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.
Buzz graduated from the school of hard knocks, and got his GED upon entering the Army. He served in Korea during the Vietnam War and was extremely proud to have served his country.
He resided in Sacramento most of his life. Buzz was a painting contractor and loved painting. He worked with his Dad at the family business, Hereford & Son. He later started his own business, Camellia City Painting. Throughout the years he painted with his Uncle Jack at his business, Statewide Painting and later with his wife Connie. Sometimes he joined forces and help out his brother Mike and sister Sherry on their paint jobs. Painting was definitely a family affair.
He was a great artist, avid book reader and devoted dog lover. He never went anywhere without one of his dogs. He was a doting Papa to Brooke and was thrilled to live long enough to see his grandchild born.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday 9/26/2019 @ 1PM at the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave., Sacramento. With a reception to follow at Patti's home. All are welcome to attend. The family would love see you and hear any memories that you might have to share.
