Barbara Fauver Riggs was born in Pasadena, California on April 29, 1925 and passed away on January 30, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. She is survived by her children: Brian (Jodi) Fauver, Gail (Claude) Smith, Mark (Sandy) Fauver, Jean (David) Mitchell, stepdaughter Janet Riggs, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert E. Fauver, second husband Fran Riggs and grandson Ben Fauver.
Barbara was the first female Licensed Embalmer in the State of California. She apprenticed under George Lamb of Lamb Funeral Home in Pasadena, CA. In 1952, Barbara and her family relocated to Sacramento, CA where she worked at Harry A. Nauman & Son many years until her retirement. During her career, she also assisted many local funeral homes with hair and cosmetizing. Barbara was an avid antique collector, gardener and also a member of the Gypsy Antique Club and the Sacramento Rug Hooking Guild. She will be dearly missed.
