Noted interior designer Jon Siler died May 8 at 91 in Carmichael, California. After serving in the Navy during World War II and attending college at ArtCenter College of Design and University of the Pacific, in 1951 Jon moved to Sacramento, launching Jon Siler Interiors, a store and studio featuring mid-century modern furnishings and design from Eames, Knoll, Saarinen, Noguchi and others. From 1962 to 1974, Jon was a partner in Wilsons Furniture, and thereafter a partner in Siler King Designs until 1989. Jon and his wife Fran were active in many community activities, including especially the Sacramento Opera Association. In addition to Fran, Jon is survived by niece Candy Dahl and nephew Walter R. Dahl
