George Albin Johnson

George A Johnson born on January 18, 1931, entered into rest in Sacramento, CA on June 7, 2016.  He was born in Lusk, Wyoming.   When he was about six months old, the family moved to Decatur, NE, where he grew up and attended school.  He graduated from high school in 1949, enlisted in the US Navy, serving during the Korean war and honorably discharged in 1952.

George was predeceased by his parents, Dwight and Genevieve, his 5 brothers and 1 sister, and his wife Grace.

George is survived by his wife Lois, daughters, Delrae (Philip), Terri (Richard), and son, Michael (Christine).  Also four grandsons, Rich, (Stacy), Steve,(Amanda), Michael, (Rachele), and Randy, three great grandchildren, Ethan, Dylan, and Tyler.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave, Sacramento.  Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery is at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances in George’s name to Alzheimer’s Association or St Joseph’s Indian School.
