Evan Patrick Sours passed away January 31, 2018 at his home in West Sacramento. He was born in Placerville on October 29, 1980 and spent his childhood there until moving at age 11 first to Mokelumne Hill and then to Valley Springs. He attended Calaveras High School in San Andreas where he was the drummer in the school band and competed in wrestling. Evan later lived in Jackson before moving to Sacramento. He is survived by his mother Patty Banks & stepfather Donny Banks of Valley Springs, his father Michael Sours of Jackson, his brothers John Rocha of San Francisco, Aaron & his wife Mel of Sacramento, Will Sours and niece Lauren Sours also of Sacramento, and Wes Ramey of Dallas, Texas, his loving partner Denielle Davis of West Sacramento and a large, extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James & Isabelle Sours, John Haman and Luella Jewell, his aunt Mary Louise Haman, aunt Patti Sedell, and uncle Gordy & aunt Roberta Bush. A memorial service will be held for Evan from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Veterans Hall (VFW Post 8762) located at 905 Drever St. in West Sacramento. In lieu of flowers donations can be made on Evan's behalf to Sacramento Loaves & Fishes or to PAWS (Performing Animal Welfare Society). Evan was very bright, artistic and talented in so many ways. He had a tender soul and generous heart and valued a person's character above all things. Our family would like to thank everyone who shared their lives with him. He loved you all dearly.
