Born April 9, 1924 in Citrus Heights, CA to Julia and Daniel Morrison, Dottie passed away on May 11, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Dottie is survived by her loving husband Richard, son Bruce Sheltrown (Paula) of Monterey, daughters Debbie Nelson (Jeff) of Roseville, and Gayle Davies (Doug) of Hollister, daughter-in-law Debbie Sheltrown (Mark) of Manteca, her brother Emmitt, sister-in-law Elmira, brothers-in-law Roger Hendrickson (Liz), Hugh Hendrickson (Evelyn), 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by loving long-time friends Anita and Carl Zingale, and Cleo and Rich Gates.
Dottie was preceded in death by her sons Mark and Steve Sheltrown, and many special family and friends whom she cherished. She was a fun-loving, thoughtful and caring wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Dottie spent 22 years as a teaching assistant for the San Juan Unified School District. She loved spending time with family and friends, baking, sewing, playing dominos and traveling in the R.V. Dottie’s beautiful blue eyes and Irish sense of humor would light up a room. She will be sorely missed!
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815.
