Carol Sue Powelson Lopez age 57, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento after a long, hard-fought battle to recover from a sustained brain injury. Carol was born on December 10, 1960 in Tempe, Arizona to Kenneth Byron and Edith Louise (Strain) Powelson. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Rios Lopez (Tino Lemus), five grandsons Anthony, Jesse Jr., Robert, John, Andrew, granddaughter Amalia Lemus, her sisters Elaine Greene, Lynda Spencer, Nancy Serrato (Manuel), Patricia Gonzalez and brother Kenneth Jr. along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Camellia Memorial Lawn, 10221 Jackson Road, Sacramento, CA on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:30 P.M..
