Carol Guthrie

Carol Ann Guthrie, 61, a resident of Sacramento passed away suddenly on December 11, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Daniel Guthrie and her son, Christopher Guthrie of Roseville. Carol was born and raised in The Dalles, OR. She was a graduate of The Dalles H.S. She earned degrees from the University of Phoenix, a B.A. in Management and Drexel University, a Master's in Business Administration. Daughter of the late Delores and Donald Dean. Carol leaves behind her loving sister, Donna Dean Hammond of Warrenton, OR, her niece, Clara Hammond Weston of Cornelius, OR. Carol retired from a career in administration with the University of California at Davis. Her last posting was MSO III with UCD's Department of Agriculture. Carol was an active member of the RVing Women's RV group and RV Quilters. She enjoyed going to and participating in the group's outings. Carol enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping in her 5th wheel. She was also an Amateur Radio Operator (HAM), N0DTZ. Carol was blessed with many wonderful friends and will be missed by all. Her compassion and humor for others will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 30, 2017 at 3:00pm at Pete's Pub located on Gateway Blvd and Del Paso Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sacramento WEAVE or the Sacramento Food Bank.
