Beverly Joan Samaniego

Beverly Joan Samaniego, 78 of Sacramento passed away August 18, 2017 in Sacramento. She was born January 24, 1939 in Sacramento. She was a lifelong Sacramento resident.

Beverly enjoyed spending time with with her family especially with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was nicknamed Gramsbear by her grandchildren and it continued on to the great grandchildren, she loved the personal and unique name. Beverly enjoyed outings and going to the Casino, going for long drives, getting manicures and pedicures and eating out at her favorite restaurant, 524 Mexican Food. Beverly loved girly things like sparkly clothing, hats and jewelry. She was #1 fan of QVC. Beverly was also known for selecting wild nail color polish often times allowing her great granddaughters to choose the color. As most people that knew Beverly knew she was a spunky little spitfire that didn't take much stuff.  Most of all she was known for her beautiful red hair. She will be missed by all that loved her.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 60 years Sam Samaniego of Sacramento, son Henry Samaniego (Kim) of Sacramento, daughter Tessie Westervelt (Kirk) of Folsom, daughter Vickie Sanchez (Larry) of Rancho Murieta, son Gilbert Samaniego of Sacramento, daughter Emma Samaniego (Jerry) of Sacramento.

Grandchildren Justin (Krista), Kristin (Christopher), Julie, Anthony (Jessica), Brandon, Jeremiah, Thomas (Brittany) and Daniel. Great grandchildren Sally, Holly, Alexis and Levi.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at North Sacramento Funeral Home 725 El Camino Ave, Sacramento. Celebration of Life reception will be held after the service at the VFW Hall directly across the street at 720 Santiago Ave. Parking is available at both locations.

Arrangements are under the direction of North Sacramento Funeral Home.
